New Archbishop in La Plata – After Years of Francis’ Chaos
The new archbishop is, not surprisingly, an auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires, Monsignor Gustavo Carrara, 51. Buenos Aires is the source for new bishops in Argentina.
Monsignor Carrara was vicar general of the Archdiocese and let himself be used for the dirty work of his totalitarian Archbishop Jorge García Cuerva.
After him, two bishops resigned before taking office in La Plata. Then, Monsignor Gabriel Mestre became Archbishop. He survived for eight months (2023-May 2024).
