Santa: Bishop Bows To Magisterium of the Oligarchs

Noto Bishop Antonio Staglianò, 62, Sicily, the inventor of "pop theology," backpedaled after he told schoolchildren that Santa wasn't real.

Instead, he taught the children about Saint Bishop Nicholas of Myra who was born and raised in Sicily and whose relics are in Noto Cathedral.

“No, Santa does not exist,” Staglianò insisted, “In fact, I would add that the red of the suit he wears was chosen by Coca-Cola exclusively for advertising purposes.”

But then some activists of the oligarch media complained, and Staglianò’s press secretary quickly apologised protesting that it “was not Staglianò's intention to cause so much media hype or to disappoint children.” The oligarchs' activists, happy to have defeated another bishop, headlined, “Diocese apologises after bishop tells children Santa doesn’t exist.”

Staglianò insisted that a bishop "must preach" the Christian value of Christmas - obviously only as long as the oligarchs don't complain.

"the suit he wears was chosen by Coca-Cola exclusively for advertising purposes" Nope.and Thomas Nast dressed Santa in red before Coke was even invented.

Coward bishop. He showed courage by telling children that the fat guy dressed in red wasn't real but as soon as he gets a bit of blowback, he caves. He should have doubled down but bishops with real courage in the world today can be counted on one hand

Incredible - now bishops have to defend themselves when calling Santa a myth.

Near the top of my Christmas List is a wish for “Jolly Ole Saint Nick” to pimp-slap a few heretics again. These sons of Arius are getting pretty outrageous around here.
