@Hi Clement- THank you for your post. As much as I hate Bergoglio, he did clarify some things on his plane interview back to Rome which the press obviously was not pleased by. They pushed him on the issue of women priests- to which Bergoglio said that Christ chose only men as his priests, as so does the Church. Regarding homos, he said everyone is welcome in the Church, but within the rules. The Church has rules. Therefor there is no "gay marriage" . He said the attraction to be homosexual in and of itself is not sinful, but homo acts are. This is all 100% correct, and I'm surprised he said it.
I read that Bergoglio's remarks left the press corp "baffled and upset". For once, that's a good reaction. Will he follow thru at this Synod and disallow "gay blessings" etc. I would not be surprised. I would think less bad of him if he did.
