Germany: Bad "Catholic" Youth Group Believes Saint Thomas More Is Bad

The decadent Diocesan Youth of the Diocese of Münster (KjG) is distancing itself from its patron saint, Thomas More (1478-1535), a towering humanist and martyr for the Faith.

The KjG passed a ridiculous resolution against the saint by 42 votes to 1, with 1 abstention. The title of the resolution is "Thomas Morus - a not so nice dude".

After a trip to London in 2022, the KjG clowns "studied" the saint's life, and the KjG grand inquisitors found points "which, in our opinion, clash with the values of the KjG".

They complain that St Thomas More persecuted supporters of the Reformation [who murdered him], that the reason for his canonisation was his opposition to the King's divorce, thus allegedly preventing "another marriage". The self-appointed inquisitors also accuse the saint of having "stood up for the old values of the Catholic Church" (sic).

Therefore, the KjG comedians will no longer emphasise St Thomas More as their patron saint. A "Thomas More Prize" will be renamed. A new name could be: "Who-Accepts-this-Prize-Is-A-Fool".

They also call for a nationwide debate on More's status as patron saint of the KjG.

It would indeed be a shame if such a wonderful saint were to be associated with such pathetic braggarts.

@Liam Ronan They ARE leaving Germany in droves, but probably not for the pathetic pseudocatholic Church there. Merkel is replacing native Germans with Middle Eastern Muslims.

@Liam Ronan I expect it has to do with ease and low cost. The US is certainly no free nation, as it was when your forefathers immigrated. An American citizen myself, I am considering moving elsewhere. We are following the patterns of the major communist dictatorships.

Among the reasons More is getting cancelled: “He stood up for the old values of the Catholic Church.” Modern, Western values have completely overwhelmed and destroyed the German Church.
