Man Dressed as Female Concubine Performs Snake Dance in Church

During Holy Week, on April 11, a strange show was performed in Saint Joseph Church in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in front of an elderly public.

A man dressed as an odalisque (= female concubine in a harem) and carrying a large snake executed a provocative belly dance, TraditionInAction.org (May 8) reported.

He was part of a dance troupe which performed under the pretext of reproducing “the culture of Jerusalem at the time of Christ.”

In reality, it merely reflected the decadence of the Novus Ordo group.

The Redemptorists who run the church, issued an apology, saying that they were “unaware” of that performance.

How can the Redemptorists not know what was going on? They run the Church but don't know what happens in it? I can't imagine that the audience were Catholic, at least in the spiritual sense. No-one seemed to walk out. Anyway, the Church needs cleansing and purifying and probably exorcising.
