Man Dressed as Female Concubine Performs Snake Dance in Church
During Holy Week, on April 11, a strange show was performed in Saint Joseph Church in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in front of an elderly public.
A man dressed as an odalisque (= female concubine in a harem) and carrying a large snake executed a provocative belly dance, TraditionInAction.org (May 8) reported.
He was part of a dance troupe which performed under the pretext of reproducing “the culture of Jerusalem at the time of Christ.”
In reality, it merely reflected the decadence of the Novus Ordo group.
The Redemptorists who run the church, issued an apology, saying that they were “unaware” of that performance.
