Invalid "Sacraments" in Rome

The Anglican Vicar David Burrows, rector of Saint Mary's and All Saints in Elland, England, wrote on Twitter.com (April 20), that

"I have said Mass publicly as a priest of the Church of England in Churches and at Altars under the direct control of the Bishop of Rome, both within the Vatican and in the City of Rome, each time, each time being given the Tabernacle key."

After careful consideration, Pope Leo XIII came to the conclusion that Anglican ordinations are "utterly null and void."

Elephant in the room: this happens because the Conciliar rite is treated as essentially the same as Protestant rites. The lack of reverence, the emphasis placed on the laity, same gestures, lack of references to the Mass as Propitiatory Sacrifice, or the Real Presence. There should be no surprise on this.

Also you can't escape the allowance of JPII for heretics and schismatics to use Catholic churches for there ceremonies. This is a LONG standing principal, well "long" as in after Vatican 2...

Why is anyone surprised? This is the "anything goes" Homo Vatican of Pope Francis. And that is what he and his advisors and devotees want to turn the entire Church into. And if faithful Catholics are so full of false love/respect for the image of "the Pope", or just plain stupid not to object and mount growing protests, then they deserve what they get!!

This is not 'saying' Mass; it is a pretense of going through the motions which, intentionally or not, mocks the very essence of the blessed Sacrament and the rite. At least when I re-enacted the Mass as a child in the living room of our family home, I was aware that I was imitating what I had experienced; I knew the difference.

How many Anglicans have used Catholic churches in Rome and the Vatican for their liturgy? Andwith Papal permission?

It was just theater and nothing more. Like female priests and bishops. Make believe.

Actually, it is much worse than "theater and nothing more"; it is Sacrilege - Idolatry, requiring the re-consecration of the Altar.

It’s horrible. I’m sure that it used to happen at St. Peter’s, back when priests actually could go in there to celebrate Mass, and now I would not be surprised if Anglicans concelebrate. If the guy looks like he belongs, credulous people will let him do what he asks to do. This very well could be a case of not checking for proper credentials. It could be a case of positively allowing it, but he …More

It could be a case of positively allowing it, but he doesn’t actually say anything that would prove that. It’s really bad either way, obviously.
