...showing that even Mr. Skojec's "rational mind" can still reach false conclusions through a combination of poor reasoning and unsupported premises.

He did some good work in the past, but he could never disagree with people without becoming vicious. He would rare, if ever, engage in logical argument with those he disagreed with. His writing was always self-referential. I will pray that God brings him, and his large family, back into the fold.
[6] Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: [7] Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you. He has always been problematic. No doubt, taking up one's cross and following Christ is not easy for most of us. Accepting that we live in a vale of tears, and God's way to transform it is through suffering and obedience, is not a message the modern world wants to hear. The rebellious Protestants rejected the cross of crucification for the cross of resurrection, but resurrection only comes after crucifixion. Hence, suffering is inevitable in this world for most of us, and only the One True Faith gives us a way through it to Eternal bliss. We have to fight the good fight, but allow it to happen as God wills, without giving into fatalism. To be in the world but not "of" the world. It's walking the knife's edge, indeed the narrow path. Not easy. But worth it in the end as it is Our Lord's way.

The conference on suffering and charity , number 4, is the best. Actually, I'm at a point where I should review that one again.
