Thank you @Ultraviolet. I'm still having difficulty understanding here. So if, because of its atheism "a Catholic can not be a Marxist;" and liberation theology only "supposedly reconciles" Marxism by "side-stepping its atheism;" and if its an "over-simplification" to call Francis a marxist while at the same time "essentially correct" to do so...then I don't know what that even means. It seems to grant a person an ability to label the pope a Marxist without having to commit to the consequences of what that would mean. By using terms like "supposedly" and "side-stepping" are you expressing doubt or disbelief that LT actually succeeds in authentically reconciling Marxism with Catholicism?

Is it even possible to be "essentially" be a marxist without ever falling into apostasy or heresy, without ever defecting from any doctrine of the faith? That's the real question for me.
Thanks.

@Ultraviolet Thank you for clearing that up for me. It really would be a wonderful thing if the Catholic Church kind of globalism were to come about, I guess I never thought about that possibility.

So if Marxists are apostates, there is no way for me to be able to be both a Marxist and a Catholic? What if I still believe in Jesus and the Church and the Sacraments but reject the atheism part of …More

What if I still believe in Jesus and the Church and the Sacraments but reject the atheism part of Marxism? Would I be a heretic then, instead of an apostate, since I wouldn't be rejecting ALL Catholic doctrine? Is there any way that such a Catholic as I just described could be considered a Marxist without ever having formally denied or doubted a core doctrine of the RCC?

Thank you.

But can't a Catholic be a Marxist or a globalist? Has the Church ever specifically condemned those as heretical? I know that communism has been condemned as erroneous and dangerous in Divini Redemptoris, and I assume that a Marxist is one who believes and promotes a particular brand of communism referred to as Marxism. So I am guessing that the pope is allowed to be a Marxist so long as its not heresy? I'm probably missing something here. I'm sure it may exist, but I don't know of any Magisterial statement saying Marxism is heretical or an apostasy from the faith.

Bishop of Baguio warns against ‘sedevacantist’ group | Catholic News Philippines | LiCAS.news Philippines | Licas News

"The bishop also called for vigilance against groups whose teachings and activities 'bring confusion and propagate erroneous, false and distorted teachings to our Catholic faithful.'”

Thank you dear sweet bishop for the warning about Bergoglio and what comes out of Rome and the worldly bishop conferences these days.
