Preaching on Lent, Don Prosper urges more and heroic fasting from Catholics.

So first, don’t ever listen to anyone who discourages you from an heroic practice of fasting. I’m even hearing traditional priests preach recently about the many “exceptions” to fasting one should make use of and that mothers and fathers in the home aren’t called to be Carthusian monks or some such nonsense. Several years ago, not knowing at all what it would entail, I Googled a question: How do you keep Ramadan?
In the spring of 2019, after a series of high profile attacks on Muslim people in New York City and a reported rise in Islamophobia, I felt compelled to act in tangible solidarity with this vulnerable and targeted community. It just so happened that Ramadan was starting the next day. I decided I would observe its discipline of fasting as a way of accompaniment and solidarity.

Why not just fast like Catholics of earlier ages: no meat, no dairy, no alcohol, bread and water mainly, ( and abstinence from sexual relations for married people)
Louisiana Bishops Endorse Abortive Contraception In [Alleged] Rape Cases
The bishops of Louisiana (Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, New Orleans, Alexandria, Houma) support the morning-after pill in cases of alleged rape (TheAdvocate.com, 11 July).
The bishops' spokesman, Tom Costanza, said a woman "should be able to defend herself against possible conception as a result of sexual assault."
The problem: the morning-after pill not only stops ovulation, but - if ovulation has occurred - causes an abortion by preventing the embryo from implanting in the uterus. Therefore, this drug is immoral.
A new Louisiana state law requires hospitals to provide information about the morning-after pill and to dispense it to [alleged] rape victims. The bishops have simply sided with the regime on this issue.
On 9 July, all three abortion clinics in Louisiana ceased operations following the overturning of Roe v Wade.

Vatican II changed the expression of the “faith” . You are correct that the True Magisterium of the Faith has never and will never change. But the changing of the True Sacrifice of the Mass into a Protestant commemoration, with no option for the True Mass, drove people from the churches in confusion. I was one of them, baptized in 1960, first Communion in 1968, then everything changed. A June 20 homosex event called "Drag Street Eucharist" with men dressed like women in San Francisco's Castro district, mocked a New-Rite-Eucharist and used pre-consecrated hosts.
It included mock beatitudes like "blesses are the Boi Dykes," "blessed are the sex workers," and "blessed are the hot fat girls."
A certain Mark Guevarra, 40, attended the event and wrote on social media that the organisers found "a Catholic priest" who consecrated hosts beforehand which were used for the scandal.
Guevara was fired by Edmonton Archdiocese, Canada, as a pastoral associate in 2018 after promoting homosex ideology and living with another homosexual.
