Today, Leo XIV appointed the rector of the seminary, Rev. Johannes Zehe, 62, as the new auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Hamburg, Germany. Monsignor Zehe initially studied music in Berlin and worked as a violin teacher and orchestral musician before being ordained a priest in Hamburg in 1999. Career Within Hamburg’s Establishment He owes his career to Hamburg’s Archbishop Stefan Heße who appointed him rector of the seminary in 2023 and has now evidently put him forward for appointment as auxiliary bishop. However, Archbishop Heße of Hamburg is strongly pro-homosexual. Since June 2025, the archdiocese has been embroiled in a major controversy. Under the title “Male, Female, Diverse: Framework Concept for Sexual Education in the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Hamburg,” a 33-page document breaks with core Catholic teachings on sexuality and relationships. Monsignor Zehe himself is not regarded as an internal opponent of the current direction. However, his own online …More
"a nők érvénytelen pappá szenteléséről kérdezték, homályosan válaszolt, hogy ezt nem igazán tudja elképzelni. Hozzátette azonban: „Ha a teológia továbbfejlődik, és ha olyan mélyebb magyarázatok merülnek fel, amelyeket világszerte elfogadnak, nem veszíteném el emiatt a hitemet." Dogma: "3. Min vitatkozunk és elmélkedünk? ----- "When asked about the invalid ordination of women, he responded vaguely that he could not really imagine it. However, he added: “If theology develops further, and if deeper explanations emerge that can be accepted worldwide, I would not lose my faith over it. I am not a great advocate of women priests. But if it were to happen - why not?’" Dogma: “3. The recipient of the sacrament of Holy Orders. Article. 1) Psalm 50:13; Do not take Your Holy Spirit away from me. 2) Wisdom 1:4-5; Devious thoughts lead one away from God; and Omnipotence, when put to the test, rejects the foolish. Indeed, Wisdom does not enter a deceitful soul, nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin; the Holy Spirit who instructs us flees from deceit, turns away from foolish thoughts, and is driven away when iniquity appears”. 3) John 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him.” 4) 1 Corinthians 3;16-17; Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. 5) 2 Corinthians 6:16; For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God has said: “I will dwell among them and walk among them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 6) 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Do you not know that your body is …More

(FSSPX News) — In a statement published exclusively by American journalist Diane Montagna, Bishop Athanasius Schneider argues that the debate surrounding the Society of Saint Pius X cannot be understood without addressing the doctrinal and liturgical questions raised since the Second Vatican Council. He calls for a calm examination of what he considers to be the true heart of the problem: The questions and problems relating to the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) have been the subject of a largely fruitless debate for over 50 years and have now culminated in the announced episcopal consecrations, which have not yet been approved by the Holy See. The discussion has been fueled by emotion — often quite literally cum ira et studio — and is frequently conducted by individuals who lack direct familiarity with the relevant documents or personal experience of the SSPX. In many cases, their knowledge is superficial and shaped by preconceived judgments. As a result, the debate often …More
Senate Votes to Check Trump’s War Powers, Rebuking Him on Iran A few Republicans joined Democrats in favor of a measure instructing President Trump to halt military operations against Iran or seek congressional authoriz nytimes.com/…6/23/us/politics/senate-trump-war-po… By Robert Jimison Reporting from the Capitol June 23, 2026 The Senate on Tuesday adopted a resolution instructing President Trump to end the war in Iran or seek congressional authorization to continue it, delivering the most significant bipartisan rebuke yet of the conflict. The resolution does not have the force of law and is therefore unlikely to compel an immediate change in policy. But the 50-to-48 vote — in which four Republicans joined Democrats in favor — marked a striking break by the G.O.P.-led Congress with a president who has faced little resistance from his party on any topic, particularly matters of war and national security. It came as Republicans in Congress have expressed skepticism and alarm about …More
One returns over and over to the question as to whether the current Vatican 'establishment', and its enablers, are committed to a 'Christ-centred' Church or an 'ideologically perverted' church?
The original Latin Rule of Order was penned with the assistance of the young Cistercian Abbott, Bernard of Clairvaux. The rule is very similar to the modified Benedictine rule used by the Cistercian order. This makes perfect sense as the two orders were closely related and linked. The Primitive Rule of the Templars This translation of the original, or primitive, Rule of the Templars is based on the 1886 edition of Henri de Curzon, La Régle du Temple as a Military Manual, or How to Deliver a Cavalry Charge. It represents the Rule given to the fledgling Knights of the Temple by the Council of Troyes, 1129, although "it must not be forgotten that the Order had been in existence for several years and had built up its own traditions and customs before Hugues de Payens' appearance at the Council of Troyes. To a considerable extent, then, the Primitive Rule is based upon existing practices." (Upton-Ward, p. 11) This translation is excerpted from Judith Upton-Ward's The Rule of the Templars, …More
"2. Above all things, whosoever would be a knight of Christ, choosing such holy orders, you in your profession of faith must unite pure diligence and firm perseverence, which is so worthy and so holy, and is known to be so noble, that if it is preserved untainted for ever, you will deserve to keep company with the martyrs who gave their souls for Jesus Christ."

The Vatican has rejected – on paper only – a request from the German Bishops' Conference to permit lay people to preach during the Eucharist by means of an "indult." A June 17 letter, written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship, was published on Dbk.de. The German bishops' proposal sought permission to allow lay employees, in the usual exceptional circumstances, to deliver a "homiletic reflection" following the Gospel during the Eucharist. In his reply, Cardinal Roche claims with canon law that the homily is an integral part of the liturgy [only since Pius X] and is reserved to a priest or deacon. He stresses that the reservation of the homily to clergy is not merely a disciplinary norm and does not depend on theological competence or communication skills. Cardinal Roche disputes the claim that current pastoral circumstances require an exception. Where a priest is present to celebrate the Eucharist, he is also present to preach. Where no priest is …More
Kentucky bishop tells priest to stop conducting traditional Latin mass I cannot believe any Catholic would pay this Kentuckian any mind at all. He is obviously a miscreant who needs his property and income extracted to the level of poverty befitting his foolishness. QUO PRIMUM made the Latin language the language of the liturgy. Period.
The president of the German lay organization ZdK, Irme Stetter-Karp, 69, commented on the paper tiger from Rome claiming that laypeople supposedly may not preach during Eucharists. The German Synodal Way had already voted in favor of the proposal in March 2023, with strong support from the bishops. “We therefore expect the German bishops to reaffirm their substantive position to Rome, strengthen their arguments, and under no circumstances read Cardinal Roche’s letter as a cause for discouragement,” she said. For Ruth Fehlker of the Catholic Women’s Association of Germany (kfd) - that only a few days ago called for abortions in Catholic hospitals - the letter demonstrates “how great the gap is between the pastoral realities of many local churches and the directives coming from Rome.” #newsNtnvgtepdv
Leo XIV Sings World Youth Day Anthem with Children: Yesterday, Leo XIV joined children attending the Vatican’s summer program Estate Ragazzi in singing Jesus Christ, You Are My Life in the Paul VI Hall. Sound on.
Papa Leone XIV ha vissuto un momento musicale speciale con i bambini di Estate Ragazzi in Vaticano, unendosi a loro nel canto di Jesus Christ, You Are My Life nell’Aula Paolo VI.
