Extract from the SPIRITUAL CATECHISM OF CHRISTIAN PERFECTION, VOLUME I, Composed by RPJJ SURIN, of the Society of Jesus:
On Repairing the Interior
What are the causes of interior decay?
The first is dissipation; when the mind gives too much attention to external objects, and turning away from the presence of God, it imperceptibly loses its strength, and falls into relaxation. This dissipation comes from the eagerness we have for useless occupations, or from the large number of those which seem necessary. It also introduces itself thanks to natural satisfactions and vain amusements that we indulge in. The second cause of interior decadence is the interruption of holy exercises and practices of virtue: we are exact in fulfilling them for a time, then we forget them, or we neglect them; it is the means of soon falling away: the spirit can only maintain its vigor by assiduity and constancy in doing what one has undertaken. The great damage from within also comes from the fact that we often …More

Cardinal Ambongo: Was 'Fiducia Supplicans' Buried?

Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo, of Kinshasa president of the African bishops' conferences, agrees with Cardinal Robert Sarah on Fiducia Supplicans, he said at a press conference in Nairobi on 25 April.
Cardinal Sarah explained last month that the document was the latest example of pushing for a "culture of relativism" rather than "the universality of the faith". The Church in Africa had been "ignored and scorned by those whose sole obsession is to please Western lobbies", he said.
According to AciAfrica.org, Ambongo commented: "I followed Cardinal Sarah's speech (in Cameroon) with great attention and I think what he said is true."
Cardinal Ambongo added that the document 'Fiducia Supplicans' was not about "cultural aspects" - as Francis had claimed. It is against "theology, morality, the Bible and the Magisterium".
People all over the world agree with the Church in Africa, he said, "so we will no longer talk about 'Fiducia Supplicans'. That text has been buried".

From Citizen Go:
Did you catch my last update?
Time is of the essence as the WHO gears up for the final decision on the Pandemic Treaty.
Your freedoms are on the line, and the urgency to act is now more critical than ever.
They're pushing to ratify this treaty at the upcoming World Health Assembly, aiming to expand their control over global health decisions.
Up until now, your voice, through CitizenGO, has been pivotal in throwing them off balance, but the decisive moment is upon us.
We can't let our guard down now.
Your support is crucial in amplifying our impact at the World Health Assembly in Geneva. Will you stand with us as we confront this monumental challenge? Your donation today could make all the difference. Will you help us take the fight to the WHO and protect your essential liberties? I'LL DONATE £10 I'LL DONATE £30 I'LL DONATE £80 I'LL DONATE £160 I'LL DONATE £300 OTHER AMOUNT Thank you for all you do, Sebastian Lukomski and the entire team at CitizenGO -- Here's the email …More

QUESTION 21 — JUSTICE AND MERCY IN GOD
1. Do we find justice in God?
2. Can his righteousness be spoken “truth”?
3. Do we find mercy in God?
4. Are justice and mercy found in all the works of God?
Article 1 — Do we find justice in God?
Objections:
1. It seems not. For justice is divided from temperance. But temperance is not found in God. So no more justice. 2 . To do whatever one does according to the good pleasure of one's will is not to act according to justice. Now, says the Apostle to the Ephesians (1:11), God “works all things according to his will”. 3 . The proper act of justice is to give everyone their due. But God owes nothing to anyone. 4 . Everything in God is identical to his essence. But this does not suit justice because, says Boethius, “what is good concerns the essence, but what is just concerns the action”. On the contrary , we say in Psalm (11:7): “The Lord is just; he loves justice. ” Answer: There are two kinds of justice. One which involves giving and receiving in …More

2. to recognise that all good comes to us through grace. If you have any good from God, if you have any at all, you did not obtain it by yourself, but by grace and the mercy of God. All the good you have from God is not from your own works, but from the mercy of God.
3. to see the virtues of others and to be blind to one’s own. There are many who know that all good comes from God and through His grace, but think that they are more blessed than others. They are full of themselves, and are like the pharisees.
4. to recognise one’s own faults. We must not only realise that we are lacking in good, but that we are full of self-love, bad inclinations, and passions, and that we have sinned greatly. 'Who art Thou, my God, and who am I?', questioned St. Francis. We are nothing.
