Homily Saturday, November 8 31st OT

Rm 16: 3-9, 16, 22-27
"Greet one another with a holy kiss."
Let us allow peace to be present in all relationships.
Lk 16:9-15
Jesus says: "If you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth, who will trust you with true wealth?"
God places his love, joy, and peace in our hearts.
Let us allow God’s love, joy, and peace to spread to humanity and let’s observe it in the hearts of others.
We will learn a lot and be able to correct some of the failings we sometimes fall into.

"26. Eloquence is a painting of thought; and thus those who, after having painted it, add something more, make a picture instead of a portrait.”

‘PENSÉES’ by Blaise Pascal; 1660; ‘SECTION I - THOUGHTS ON MIND AND ON STYLE’; Points 16-26; pages 4-5

[Blaise Pascal – XVII Century AD; Clermont-Ferrand, France/Paris, France; Mathematics/Physics/Theology]
“16. Eloquence is an art of saying things in such a way (1) that those to whom we speak may listen to them without pain and with pleasure; (2) that they feel themselves interested, so that self-love leads them more willingly to reflection upon it.
It consists, then, in a correspondence which we seek to establish between the head and the heart of those to whom we speak, on the one hand, and, on the other, between the thoughts and the expressions which we employ. This assumes that we have studied well the heart of man so as to know all its powers and, then, to find the just proportions of the discourse which we wish to adapt to them. We must put ourselves in the place of those who are to hear us, and make trial on our own heart of the turn which we give to our discourse in order to see whether one is made for the other, and whether we can assure ourselves that the hearer will be, as it …More

GARIBALDIAN ROME MUNICIPALITY INFILTRATES CATHOLIC CHURCH AT MONTHLY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Garibaldian Rome Municipality along with the parish of San Camillio de Lellis will officially be having Eucharistic Adoration at the Salustiana church in Rome. It is part of the Jubilee Year. It will continue once a month until June 2026 according to an announcement outside the church.
This is the church where they have joint Lenten services with the Protestant churches. It is approved by the Rome Vicariate which has an annual mission program with Protestants and the New Catechumenal Way of Kiko Arguello.
These projects are Christocentric and not Ecclesiocentric.This is liberalism in the Church based upon the irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II. The rational interpretation of Vatican Council II is avoided since it would not be politically correct with the Left.
The Parish Priest at San Camillio, Salustiana, Fr. Sergio is also the Provincial of the San Camillio community. The …More

Letter to the Romans 15,14-21.
I myself am convinced about you, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another.
But I have written to you rather boldly in some respects to remind you, because of the grace given me by God
to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in performing the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering up of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the holy Spirit.
In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to boast in what pertains to God.
For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to lead the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit (of God), so that from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have finished preaching the gospel of Christ.
Thus I aspire to proclaim the gospel not where Christ has already been named, so that I do not build on another's …

‘Saints and Holy Prayers’ ~ compiled from devout resources of the Saints' sites. Pages 44-53

Paraphrase of the Lord's Prayer
by St. Francis of Assisi
OUR FATHER
most holy,
our Creator and Redeemer,
our Saviour and our Comforter.
WHO ART IN HEAVEN
in the angels and the saints,
giving them light to know you,
since you, Lord, are light;
setting them afire to love you,
since you, Lord, are love;
dwelling in them
and giving them fullness of joy,
since you, Lord,
are the supreme, eternal good,
and all good comes from you.
HALLOWED BE THY NAME,
may we grow to know you better and better
and so appreciate the extent of your favors,
the scope of your promises,
the sublimity of your majesty,
and the profundity of your judgements.
THY KINGDOM COME,
so that you may reign in us by your grace,
and bring us to your kingdom,
where we shall see you clearly,
love you perfectly and,
happy in your company, enjoy you forever.
THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN,
so that we may love you with all our heart,
by always having you in mind;
with all our soul,
by always longing for you;
with all …More
