Masked Islamists in Toronto were caught on video berating Jewish pedestrians with a megaphone, shouting for them to 'go back to the slums of Europe' as they simply walked down the sidewalk. Absolutely disgusting.
On the afternoon of 25 November 2025, the Church of San Nicola di Bari in Ostia was discovered desecrated. Human excrement had been left in several parts of the church, including on the altar. The parish secretary found the scene and immediately informed the parish priest. In response, a solemn Eucharist of Reparation was announced.
La multiplication des sacrilèges dans les églises : l’alerte des exorcistes face à l’ennemi de Dieu Ces actes « semblent presque organisés et, en tout cas, sont inspirés par le père du mensonge, ennemi de Dieu et de l’humanité ».
Home » Architecture » Before and After: The Restoration of Belmont Chapel in Newport, Rhode Island The Belmont Memorial Chapel is a small church that is located on the grounds of Island Cemetery in Newport, Rhode Island. While that goes slightly outside our usually rather tight sphere of focus here at LAJ, I believe our readers will be very interested in this particular project as it not only features a dramatic restoration, but also a period we seldom touch upon -- the Aesthetic Movement and, I also think, a bit of the Arts and Crafts Movement as well -- while also being firmly rooted in aspects of the gothic revival movement. Canning Liturgical Arts sets the background of the project for us: The chapel was originally built in 1887 in honor of Augustus Belmont and Catherine Perry’s deceased daughter, but required significant repairs soon after completion. The architect in charge was Richard Morris Hunt, a good friend of the Belmont and prominent architect at the time. Hunt brought in …
Just days ago, Calgary Pastor Derek Reimer from was arrested once more and sent to jail. His crime this time? He had been ordered by a court to write an apology for protesting a public library's "drag queen story hour." He refused to do so. He's Christian and cannot support the grooming of children. Where is the diversity and inclusion for Christians? Reimer stood in front of a public library in an effort to defend the children. In Canada, standing up for children's innocence has now become a crime. His other punishable public offence? He breached bail conditions in 2023. He asked people to call a library manager to try and dissuade her from holding the drag-queen story hour. But a judge decided that his actions were an act of intimidation to get the manager to cancel the event. As if the other side doesn't use similar tactics against Christians. What a complete double-standard. One for Christians and another for those who support the sexual letters of the alphabet. The police actually …
Leo XIV joined the audience at the Vatican’s 2025 “Concert with the Poor” in the Paul VI Hall featuring Michael Bublé, his band, the choir of the Diocese of Rome, conducted by Mons. Marco Frisina, and the Nova Opera Orchestra. The Pope expressed his pleasure to be able to partake in the joy of listening to music, which is “not a luxury for the few, but a divine gift accessible to everyone.”
"Satan will imitate the Church...to deceive mankind; he will set up a church of Satan in opposition to the Church of Christ. Antichrist will assume the role of Messias; his prophet will act the part of Pope..." -Fr. E. Sylvester Berry, 1927
Hideous…I was aghast when I first saw that! Then I saw another hideous display in a university chapel and I was so sad to think of how far we have come to allow evil minds to get away with constructing these dark images for Catholics to be swayed to downplay the beauty of our faith and think it is just fine. And all is silent. The Bishops should be ashamed for allowing it! They should know better.

Mon Oct 6, 2025 - 8:54 pm EDTTue Oct 7, 2025 - 6:08 am EDT PITTSBURGH (LifeSiteNews) — Bishop Athanasius Schneider urged the faithful during a talk on Saturday not to bow to the modern idols that have crept into the Catholic Church such as LGBT ideology or the climate change agenda. Speaking at the Catholic Identity Conference (CIC) in Pittsburgh on October 4, the auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, emphasized that in a period when the First Commandment is often rejected even by the Church hierarchy, Catholics must cling to Our Lord Jesus Christ and not offer incense to modern idols such as political correctness, “Mother Earth,” icebergs, and the LGBT ideology. Schneider’s bold statement comes just over a month after the sacrilegious LGBT pilgrimage at the Vatican in early September that saw thousands of so-called “LGBT Catholics,” many with their same-sex “partners,” processing into St. Peter’s Basilica, and about a week after Pope Leo’s blessing of an iceberg during a Vatican …
Saint John Damascene | Defender of Holy Images & Doctor of the Church | Feast Day: December 4 Saint John Damascene (c. 676–749) was a brilliant priest, monk, and writer who lived in Damascus and later in the monastery of Mar Saba near Jerusalem. His feast day is celebrated on December 4. He is known for many amazing things: Defending the use of holy images (icons) when others wanted to destroy them Writing beautiful hymns and prayers used in the Church Explaining the Catholic faith clearly so everyone could understand Living a peaceful, prayerful life as a monk John lived during a time when the emperor wanted all religious images destroyed. But John boldly defended the tradition, teaching that images help us love and remember Jesus, Mary, and the saints. Because of this, he is honoured as a great Doctor of the Church — a teacher whose writings help us understand God. He is also the patron saint of pharmacists, icon painters, and theology students, because of his love for …More
The true meaning of CHRISTMAS centers around the celebration of the BIRTH of JESUS CHRIST. CHRISTMAS is a time filled with joy, love and celebration, but the true essence of this season is so much more than trees, presents and decorations. The celebration of the Birth of JESUS CHRIST encourages people to focus on kindness and the joy of being with loved ones rather than the commercial aspects. The real joy, love, peace and reason to celebrate is found in the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The birth of JESUS CHRIST was the victory of the true LIGHT, true PEACE, and true JOY over the darkness of evil and sin. Expressing "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to all is one beautiful way to joyfully celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

These men were renowned for their extraordinary ability to move through dense jungle, detect danger, read terrain disturbances, and navigate at night with uncanny precision. American advisers often remarked that these trackers perceived subtle environmental cues long before other soldiers registered anything unusual. Over the years, a particular story circulated within military circles: some of these Indigenous recruits allegedly saw their tracking abilities diminish after receiving the standard military haircut. Trainers reported that the men felt less aware, less attuned to their surroundings, …
On Thursday, retired Swiss bishop Marian Eleganti warned at the RomeLifeForum.com that efforts to promote a 'universal fraternity' risk collapsing into religious relativism. He stressed that, according to Christian teaching, people are not 'children of God' simply by existing. Rather, they receive this identity through faith in Christ and baptism. Any model of human fraternity that obscures this truth ceases to be authentically Christian, he said. Mission Cannot Be Replaced by Dialogue Monsignor Eleganti warned that the Church’s mission must not be reduced to interreligious dialogue which avoids proclaiming the truth. He also noted the impact of media imagery showing religious leaders praying together, which implicitly suggests that "one religion is as good as another". Criticism of Pope Francis’ Statements Furthermore, Bishop Eleganti criticised Pope Francis's controversial remarks. He cited the 2024 statement in Singapore that "all religions are a path to God", as well as the assertion …More
