Killaloe Bishop Fintan Monahan, 53, Ireland, published a picture from outside Ennis Cathedral (Twitter, March 29).
It shows a woman kneeling on the street, locked out from the church.
Nevertheless, Monahan is excited, “Faith in the Blessing of the Blessed Sacrament at Ennis Cathedral is still vibrant.”
He closed his churches by claiming that it's "practically impossible" to ensure that surfaces in churches would be cleaned regularly, and to supervise the numbers entering churches.
