The fourth section of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is in charge of the Old Rite, wasn’t involved in the elaboration of the March questionnaire about the Old Liturgy, Blog.MessainLatino.it (April 24) writes.
The questionnaire was sent to all diocesan bishops. According to the blog, the question whether this is the prelude of an attack against Summorum Pontificum, is answered in the Vatican with, “Not immediately…”
MessainLatino sees a connection between the questionnaire and the anti-Catholic lay-liturgist Andrea Grillo who is asking for a proscription of the Roman Rite.
It doesn’t exclude, that the outcome of the questionary is already established, to wit, that Summorum Pontificum “didn’t reach” its goals (liturgical reconciliation, mutual enrichment), and therefore should be revised.

It would be equally helpful if the CDF conducted a survey and study to analyse whether the Ordinary Form responds to the ‘pastoral needs’ of the lay faithful, assessing whether there has been any noticeable drop in church attendance since its promulgation in 1969.

A careful reading of my posts will reveal that I have never indicated where I stand as far as whether or not Francis is a valid Pope. I instead have asked questions of both sides to understand how they defend their positions and what moving forward into the future would be for those positions. With regards to being a heretic.... is someone a heretic because a group or individual says they are? Is there a trial or some sort of due process? What happens if one group says your a heretic and one group says your not? Who has the authority to judge such things? It seems to me that some groups claim that anyone who is not a member of their particular group is a heretic. Another point, if you are a heretic can you repent and become an unheretic? If the cardinals elected Francis considering his past as a bishop in Argentina, are they also all heretics? Are all of the Bishops, Priests and laymen that obey Francis as the Pope heretics? Is everyone who commits a mortal sin (opposing God knowingly and willingly) a heretic? I admit that I am not smart enough to know all answers, so that is why I ask the questions.

Joseph a' Christian, It would help your case enormously if you linked the post where frawley supposedly made such comments. This way, interested readers can verify the accuracy of your claims, especially in light of how often they've been discredited.

It's a pity Fr. Grunner doesn't apply his standards evenly to Cardinal Ratzinger's many questionable writings which many insist are just as heretical.

Since Fr. Grunner asserts this view is heresy and he also argues heresy invalidates a Papal jurisidiction, he's just booted JPII out as well.

Perhaps Fr. Grunner would grace everyone with his opinion of the man who actually made the offending statement.

...and John doesn't know what he's talking about. there is no "proper procedure" for Papal resignations as set down by the Canon Law of the Catholic Church. There are, in fact, only two requirements in the relevant section of law.
Having discussed this now innumerable times, I can quote the requirements from Canon Law 332.2 from memory. A Papal resignation is valid so long as it is 1.) made freely and 2.) properly manifested. That's it. There IS no "proper procedure" beyond that.
