It took the community a long time to recognise the infection.
Thirteen more sisters are hospitalised, some in serious condition, writes LaRepubblica.it (March 25).
The victims are:
Sister Maria Caterina Cafasso, 82
Mother Maria Ortensia Turati, 88
Sister Maria Filomena Licitra, 98
Sister Maria Ulisia Felici, 86 Uruguay born Sister Maria Cristina Fontes, 91 Their confessor, Father Cesare Concas, 81, also died on March 20. The 41 sisters who do not showsymptoms were quaranteened to another house.
