Schneider: The Roman Rite “Is Not a Private Property of a Pope”
Bishop Athanasius Schneider spoke to Medias-Press.info on September 24. Highlights.
• The compromise on the part of Holy See officials, many bishops and even traditionally minded priests and laity, regarding the enormous evil of the growing fetal industry, whose major product is abortion-tainted vaccines, is also a lack of courage to fight uncompromisingly against the monstrous evil that is the fetal industry.
• No one can doubt that we live in an age that has the characteristics of a global atheistic dictatorship and where sin and rebellion against God have reached almost unimaginable proportions.
• Traditionis Custodes and the accompanying letter do an injustice to all Catholics who adhere to the traditional liturgical form, by accusing them in general of sowing discord. The derogatory tone of these documents towards the traditional liturgical form leads any impartial observer to conclude that such arguments are merely a pretext and a ruse, and that this is about something else.

"The faithful, seminarians and priests must ask for the right to use this common treasure of the Church, and if they are denied this right, they may nevertheless use it"
---
The above statement is... illogical and harmful. If Quo primum tempore applies they do not have to ask for the right and the perennial privilege they have (ensuing also from the antiquity of the Roman rite as the liturgical custom of the Church). If Traditionis Custodes is deemed valid and legitimate then if they recognize it - submitting the request for the use - how can they later say: we are denied so we will nevertheless use it?
True, the Pope himself isn't banning it, but he is giving the bishops the ability to do so and the Pope isn't going to stop them. So he can blame them, and they can blame him for giving them the chance to do so.
It isnt't the Pope who is banning it at the diocesan level. It is the Bishops.
ncorrect . The Pope's policy allows the bishops to decide whether or not to allow the Latin Mass, while making it clear he personally disapproves of it. Francis is sowing discord and division and contradiction within The Church as he often does. However, the blame lies with the bishops just as did for closing the churches during the covid hysteria.
Not all bishops are prohibiting the Latin Mass. If most bishops were traditionalists and supporters of the Latin Mass, Francis' motu proprio would be rendered all but irrelevant.
"I think that there are, indeed, still bishops in the church who live the integrity of the faith and the liturgy with conviction and love it. However, there are not many bishops who commit themselves to this publicly."
Thank you Excellency, that you are doing it!
