Homosexual Blasphemer Inspired Chasubles for Notre Dame Cathedral

French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, 74, has presented the liturgical vestments he has produced for the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Castelbajac was personally selected by the Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris. The design, as usual with Castelbajac, is childlike, playful and rainbow-coloured.

The designer told ApNews.com (November 22) that he enjoyed the archbishop's trust and that he was given carte blanche for the designs although he knows nothing about chasubles and the liturgy.

It shows colorful rays emanating in all directions from a golden cross.

Castelbajac told WwD.com (November 7) that the rays were inspired by Keith Haring's picture 'Radiant Baby'. Haring (1958-1990) was a homosexual who produced blasphemous depictions of the cross (comic book aesthetic), and died from AIDS.

The rays were applied to the white wool dress by flocking. This technique is often used for T-shirts or in the advertising industry.

Whereas God is beautiful, satan is ugly and everything and everyone around it.

Trite and banal. The "my five year old could have done better" trope holds here.

Synodal Church art is awful, nothing new.

It never ends, does it.

Reminds me of high school, when they even wore vestments.
