- The newly ordained in France are not necessarily French priests, but priests ordained "to exercise their ministry in France".
- At the ordination of Abbé Eric Nziraguseswa in Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Rennes, which was 3/4 empty on Sunday 30 June, many of the clergy present were Africans.
