They discussed about the “necessary steps” for the Jesuit province. One topic could have been how adult men and decent priests should dress properly.
Francis sees the secularisation and decadence of religious life – as seen in the article’s picture – as the “future of the Church.”
At the end of Vatican II, there were 3,358 Jesuits in Spain. Today, there are less than 700. The average age is 73.

There are less than 700 of them. Well, they are not literally Jesuits, but rather only in name, since today's Jesuits and Jesuits 150 years ago are two different planets.
If they're anything like US Jesuits, they need to learn how to close and sell their properties. The SJs are the Incredible Shrinking Religious Order.
Nb. What was once the New York Novitate and Juniorate--holding more than 100 men --is now the Culinary Institute of America.
And: On the C I of A property is a cemetery, where Teilhard de Chardin is buried..More

It's great news that the Jesuits have declined so much in Spain. because they have become a corrupt, decadent group filled with radical liberal apostates, heretics....and of course.... homosexuals.
With less than 700 in Spain, and 130 in Portugal, that's less than 850 for two countries. Italy only has about 250-300 left, France probably less than 100,…More

Some informal research I did using the Catholic Directory showed that in 1964 in the US there were c. 4,000 SJ priests, 4,000 SJ scholastics, and 500 SJ novices.
In 1989, 25 years later, there was about 10% of 1964 scholastics and novices. And no guarantee that members of that 10% would not leave.More

When the changes came, they dropped the word "holy" from the name of their order. They are now just the Sisters of the Humility of Mary. If that isn't a huge clue as to their trajectory, I don't know what would be.
