Ghana’s Bishops Endorse Innovative Bill to Punish “Abominable Practice” of Homosexuality

After their October conference, Ghana’s Bishops endorsed a bill punishing homosexual acts, "As a Church, we want this abominable practice made illegal in our country,” they write, adding the truism that the Bible "condemns" practiced homosexuality.

The bishops explain that homosexual inclinations are not a sin but a tendency ordered towards an intrinsic moral evil “and thus the inclination itself must be seen as an objective disorder.” They stress that the Church rejects the "unfounded and demeaning assumption" that homosexual behaviour is always compulsive and homosexuals should therefore not be blamed for their acts.

Presently in Ghana, homosexual acts are punished with up to three years in prison. The new bill would impose a penalty of up to five years for homosexual acts and ten years for homosex propaganda. The bill is currently debated in parliament. There seems is sufficient political support for it to pass.

Good for them! This will put them high on George Soros’ list of countries to corrupt in the near future, so they need prayers.
