Obscenity to Remain in Linz Cathedral until 16 July

The decapitated obscenity will desecrate the Cathedral of Linz, Austria, until 16 July, as originally planned, a spokesman for the diocese told Kath.net (4 July).

"The sculpture will remain in the art room of St. Mary's Cathedral until the planned end of the exhibition, but cannot be viewed. The doors are locked. The lights are off".

Asked why the sculpture would not be removed in the face of such opposition, the spokesman said: "Opposition does not mean that the issues raised are unimportant. The discussion will continue."

Catholics have no right to oppose blasphemy in a Catholic Cathedral -- may God have mercy on such a society.
