An emergency operation was prepared. Gregor asked for confession and the anointing of the sick. A doctor tried to find a priest, but returned with a refusal: "No chance, impossible." All priests were in hiding because of the Coronavirus.
Gregor began to pray. Suddenly Padre Padre Pio stood beside his bed, as Gregor later told Father Paul Spätling, who described the incident in a letter to Gloria.tv and the German bishops (May 16th).
Padre Pio revealed sins from earlier times, which Gregor had never confessed. Then he raised his hand in which Gregor saw a light. Padre Pio spoke the words of absolution and gave his priestly blessing.

Please advise -- Where did you get that bit of "wisdom"? It is contrary to the Bible--all Catholic Priests are "Priests Forever" -- "Forever" includes after death-- "'You are Priest forever in the line of Melchizedek'".

Can the apparition of a priest-saint absolve sacramentally? I doubt it.

'You are Priest forever in the line of Melchizedek' -- do some research -- seems death does not end the Priesthood -- they will be recognized in Heaven (and Hell) -- there we will actually see a Cross in their Hands (in Hell it is the most painful torment I have read) that appears when they are Ordained. So I don't think there would be any problem as to St. Pio doing this after leaving his Earthly …More

So I don't think there would be any problem as to St. Pio doing this after leaving his Earthly life -- he also stated he would remain out of Heaven until all his spiritual children were safely there, this seems to be that type of work by him, we are blessed to be able to call on St. Pio and by intention become his Spiritual Child-- he then stated he will help our families also....
