Puerto Rico: Archbishop Engages in Vaccine Proselytism
Puerto Rico Archbishop Roberto Octavio González Nieves, 71, a former Boston auxiliary bishop, believes that “a Catholic cannot appeal to his Faith as a justification for not getting vaccinated.”
In a July 29 press release, Gonzáles parroted Francis, calling Covid-19 vaccines indiscriminately an "act of love" which "saves lives."
Not to be vaccinated "is to endanger the life of others" and "an act of irresponsibility,” González, a sociologist who has no competence in assessing vaccines, preached.
For him, it is “correct” to require vaccinations or constant testing at an employment. He has turned some parishes into vaccination centres. So far, González has never developed such a zeal while preaching the Faith.
