Berlin Archbishop Heiner Koch claimed on Thursday in Wittenberg, that it is an “existential suffering” for Protestants who are married to a Catholic not to receive Communion together with their spouses: "We have to make a theological progress in the German Bishops' Conference."
Everybody, who wants to receive Holy Communion, is bound to accept the Catholic faith and to go to confession first. There is no reason to except Protestants from this.
