Sometimes I wonder what kind of "philosopher" and an educator no less, constantly makes this many errors in reasoning to begin with. Your students ain't gettin' their money's worth, that's for certain. :D

@Ultraviolet "Your students aint gettin their money's worth," lol, I often wondered that when being in philosophy grad school -so much waisted time on debating whether your mother or the door in the room was actually real, Hegel, Hume, and Derrida, but then I discovered the medieval scholastics and perrenial wisdom the true nature of philosophy. You're confusing being a philosopher with being a logician, they are not the same. If you observe Christ in the Gospels, who is the greatest philosopher -not b/c he is a philosopher among men, but b/c he is the Logos- Wisdom Itself- Philosophy Itself. He doesn't argue like a modern logician pointing out fallacies, but imparting eternal Wisdom. Sometimes he uses questions, rhetorical appeals, and parables- and other times phenomenological descriptions of the nature of truth at hand.

I thought you might appreciate my computer analogy being a Catholic with intellectual acumen and wit.

No confusion here. Since philosophers must often defend their philosophy, it's essential they avoid making elementary mistakes even non-philosophers (like myself) can exploit.

True. Then again, neither of us are Christ and He wasn't prone to fallacies, either. He also didn't try to excuse Teutonic tyranny with an updated Nuremberg Defense like, "these guys are just doing there job," They're just following orders, yes? ;-)
