In that same speech yesterday in Georgia, you spoke, as in so many other countries about gender theory, saying that it is a great enemy and a threat against marriage. But, I would like to ask you, what would you say to someone who has struggled with their sexuality for years and feels that there is truly a problem of biology, that his aspect doesn't correspond to what he or she feels is their sexual identity. You, as a pastor and minister, how would you accompany these people?

Do we agree that the truth about sin and mercy is somewhere between the priest who might, "yell from the sidewalk: 'you'll go to hell!'" Do we agree that the truth about sin and mercy is somewhere between the priest who might, "yell from the sidewalk: 'you'll go to hell!'" (I've never, EVER heard of this...ever) and "time" (since one's last confession) being the only detriment to a good confession? Because in my neck of the woods, mercy shows up as, "If you don't think you're sinning, you're good as gold, no questions asked," (who am I to judge?) in other words, leaving (accompanying) people seeped in mortal sin. No thanks. You don't rush to confession any more than you rush to end an un-end-able troubled marriage.
