According to rigid Traditionis Custodes, Las Vegas Bishop George Thomas was allegedly forced to move the Mass away from St Bridget's because it is a parish.
He knew that Rome would reject a request to continue celebrating Mass at St Bridget's. So, he found an alternative: The Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer.
in a letter dated May 1, he wrote: “Maintaining access to the Traditional Latin Mass is an important value for me as the chief liturgist in the diocese.”
The new location is much better for the "vibrant community" (Bishop Thomas). Now, confessions can be heard before Mass, movable feasts, Holy Week and other Sacraments such as First Communions or Weddings can also be celebrated. None of this was possible at St Bridget's.

Our Lady of Good Success pray for us. Amen

Personally the Immaculate Church in St. Marys, Kansas, would be the perfect place! 😍 😍 😍

Yet another reason I'm happy I live within driving distance to an SSPX chapel. If Ecclesia Dei falls apart and the FSSP and ICSP et al. are told to cease and desist TLM...I won't have to worry about it.

SSPX is also my safety net. Just to be sure they are around when I need them, I give them 100% of my church contributions.

On the one hand, it almost seems more appropriate to have a shrine, since the members of the community are rarely from an area the size of a parish. Personal parishes are very much like shrines which allow a particular community to associate with it. On the other hand, I have my doubts …More

Bishop Mulvey could have done this . . . but he didn’t. Instead he confounded hundreds of his flock and lost one of his best priests.
