Cardinals on the Lookout For Blackmailable Employees

The Church is gripped by fear of blackmail, moral theologian Janet Smith told a recent @Coalition for Canceled Priests conference.

There's something on every one of them [including bishops and Cardinals], Smith said, quoting one cardinal who confessed that he wouldn't employ anyone he didn’t have something on.

Smith explained that such collaborators are subject to fear of exposure and can therefore be controlled.

The current state of our Church can be compared to an overflowing cesspool. God will cleanse it in a terrible way and it will shine more brightly than ever before

This strikes me a "breakthrough." I have thought of Janet Smith as faithful but establishment, more suited to EWTN than to a meeting of cancelled priests. But she isn't establishment here. And she is excellent here, as well. This reminds me of several Catholics I know who attend nothing but the Novus Ordo but yet consider Francis to be an antipope. “Even as a seminary professor I had no idea of the extent of the homosexual and paedophile networks throughout the Church and so denied it in public. I feel like a ‘useful idiot.”

Well said, that quote above.
The most worse blindness is of them who will not see and know.

Well, if there's something on alot of bishops and Cardinals, and of course Bergoglio himself, why are not faithful traditional Catholics using this valuable info to weaponize it to bring the heretics who are destroying the faith down? (there is tons of info on some liberal bishops being gay, actively gay, using porno networks etc., same for priests. Of course there is the issue of Bergoglio covering …More

The problem is that it is those who are higher up who actually are in possession of the “dirt.” That’s how they get where they are. Those lower down have only heard the insinuations (perhaps from reliable sources, but still only insinuations), and so can offer no proof of anything. This dynamic is present in any corrupt organization. It’s sad that it is so prevalent in the Church, but it is …More
