Sister Agnes Sasagawa, the Visionary from Akita, Japan, Has Died
According to several reports, the alleged visionary Sister Agnes Sasagawa of Akita, Japan, died on the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady at the age of 93.
Her visions of Our Lady took place in 1973.
Sister Agnes Sasagawa, born in 1931, was a catechist in a church in Kyushu for many years, before she became deaf in 1973. The disability led her to a convent in Akita, northern Japan, to the Congregation of the Servants of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. She experienced a healing in 1982 when her deafness was miraculously cured.
She received three main messages announcing that God was preparing a terrible chastisement for humanity ("fire will fall from heaven and a large part of humanity will die").
And: "Satan will infiltrate the Church. Bishops will oppose other bishops, cardinals will rise up against other cardinals, priests who venerate Mary will be persecuted by their brethren. Altars and churches will be looted and churches will be filled with worldly compromises. …More
Well, yes. And if rumors that the DDF is going to condemn Akita come to pass, then there will be no physical evidence to contradict the ruling.
Poor Sister Agnes was terrorized by the hierarchs (or perhaps heresiarchs) of Japan for years. This desecration of her body is sadly predictable.

Unless and until the Church speaks OFFICIALLY and JURIDICALLY regarding the Akita revelations, we must be silent. Without the unequivocal sanction of the Church as determined and directed by the Holy See and under the auspices of those who are specifically authorized and canonically empowered with the official ecclesial competence to affirm and approve such things, the late Sister's visions cannot be fully accepted and embraced as valid. It is as simple as that, and there should be absolutely NO debate nor dispute about this fact whatsoever. It is the authoritative voice of the Church and that of the Church ALONE in this matter, as with ALL matters such as this, which must be heard and obeyed, and thus, is final - all other personal opinions, desires, beliefs, convictions, interpretations or suppositions notwithstanding, regardless from whom they are issued, promulgated or promoted; or what office, rank or standing that person may have held or currently holds or occupies individually in the Church at any given time, past or present. Those persons, as well intended as they may be (or have been), are only speaking from their own personal perspectives based on their own speculative assumptions and in a purely private capacity. It is the CHURCH who decides such things via the declarative process and practices that she alone defines, establishes, implements, enforces and oversees, NOT any unauthorized individual or group of individuals through any other unsanctioned process or alien practice. During the diabolical and delusional deceptions of this darkest of hours, let us all remain safely within the nurturing embrace of Holy Mother Church and be nourished only by that which she allows for our salvific benefit. We need no other.
Let's see - we can either listen to the voice of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who was head of the CDF when he confirmed that the messages of Akita were the same as Our Lady had given at Fatima - or we can listen to Tucho "Kissy- Heal me with your Mouth" Fernandez who says the Church can no longer determine if any apparitions are supernatural. Hmmmm - I think I'll go with Cardinal Ratzinger, aka, Pope Benedict XVI.

It’s been reported by her monastery that her body is being donated to science rather than receive a proper Catholic burial.
Perhaps the convert is responsible for this, or maybe the bishop. Sister Agnes herself might have been pressured to agree to this. It is a mystery.

Elias Mary, FI, is a faithful priest - he is skeptical about this decision's being the will of Sr. Sasagawa - there are many reasons why the Vatican could be the "force" behind this decision - starting with the content of the messages of Our Lady at Akita regarding corruption in the Vatican. So what - the Bishop's death does not nullify his approval of the Akita apparitions. He was a very prayerful and holy Bishop. There are a number of excellent videos that show how he prayed fervently at the convent in Akita where the apparitions happened.

Oh my, thank you for posting this sad news. I was at mass on the feast of the assumption, as I was kneeling in front of the Blessed Sacrament praying, I heard internally, Sister Agnes died, pray 3 hail Marys. I have no doubt our mother was with her gently taking her hand to receive her eternal reward. Thank you mother Mary for speaking to us through our most holy lords humble servant, Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa. Pray for us dear Sister Agnes. 
Here's the history of the approval of these apparitions:
In 1984, just before retiring at a venerable age, the diocesan Bishop of Niigata, Bishop John Shojiro Ito, in consultation with the Holy See, wrote a pastoral letter in which he recognized the extraordinary series of events that had taken place from 1973 to 1981, in a little lay convent within his diocese at Akita, Japan, as being authentically of the Mother of God. Cardinal Ratzinger, before becoming Pope Benedict XVI, in June 1988, approved the Akita events as "reliable and worthy of belief". In fact the Philippine ambassador to the Vatican, in 1998 spoke to Cardinal Ratzinger about Akita and the Cardinal: "personally confirmed to me that these two messages of Fatima and Akita are essentially the same". Hence in Akita we are dealing with a Church approved intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary as sure in this respect as Lourdes, La Salette, or Fatima.
Did Archbishop Peter Shirayagani and the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Japan later dismiss the messages of the apparition because Our Lady warned about evil entering and corrupting the hierarchy of the Church and the Archbishop received "heat" from the Vatican that caused him to rescind the messages? - Hmmm.....
May the good Sister Rest In Peace....but, as with all such things, we must wait for the full official sanction of the Church before we can accept her revelations as authentic apparitions.
It was already accepted. The difference is, now that the Pachamama promoter is in Rome, they don’t want some apparition saying all the modernist sins of the church hierarchy are frowned upon by heaven…
We might not have absolute certainty, but neither did the 70,000 witnesses at Fatima. I agree that we must always be cautious but that includes not ignoring possible authentic revelations.
I believe what Sister saw was REAL. How fitting that she died on this beautiful feast of Our Blessed Mother. R.I.P. dear Sister Agnes.
