@Agatha James Scary stuff! I got stuck at the demons part. " Resist the devil, and the devil will be your friend!" According to Venerable Mary of Agreda any demon would instantaneously destroy the whole human race if God allowed it to! Oh brother!
Monsignor Ronald Hicks - Bishop of Joliet and soon to become the new Archbishop of New York - first met Pope Francis on 29 June 2015. After Francis’s death, he wrote about that meeting on Diocoliet.org on 5 May. Back then, he was standing in Saint Peter’s Basilica with Chicago Archbishop Blase Cupich. Cupich had been installed as Archbishop of Chicago in November 2014. In January 2015, he appointed Rev. Hicks as his Vicar General and in 2018 his auxiliary bishop. “Now Is Your Chance” In June 2015, Archbishop Cupich asked his Vicar General in the Basilica, “Have you ever met the Pope?” When Hicks replied, “No,” Cupich grasped his arm and said with a smile, “Well, now is your chance.” He led Hicks briskly toward Pope Francis and introduced him in Italian, saying, “Holy Father, this is Ron Hicks, my Vicar General, and he speaks Spanish.” Francis turned to Hicks and began speaking in Spanish. Bishop Hicks is not a sychophantic type of personality, he is his own man. You will find that out. Here in Joliet we've seen a reasonable man. When some bishops were quick to eliminate the Latin Mass such was not the case with Bishop Hicks. Things have not changed on that front. He supports parishes and priests instead of undermining them as in other places. He is a man of prudence and caution who loves his Catholic faith. New York will thrive under his guidance.

What greater incentives Christians have, more than the heathen, to love God The faithful know how much need they have of Jesus and Him crucified; but though they wonder and rejoice at the ineffable love made manifest in Him, they are not daunted at having no more than their own poor souls to give in return for such great and condescending charity. They love all the more, because they know themselves to be loved so exceedingly; but to whom little is given the same loveth little (Luke 7.47). Neither Jew nor pagan feels the pangs of love as doth the Church, which saith, 'Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples; for I am sick of love' (Cant. 2.5). "'The memorial of Thine abundant kindness shall be showed' (Ps. 145.7), refers doubtless to those of whom the Psalmist had said just before: 'One generation shall praise Thy works unto another and declare Thy power' (Ps. 145.4). Among us on the earth there is His memory; but in the Kingdom of heaven His very Presence. That Presence is the joy of those who have already attained to beatitude; the memory is the comfort of us who are still wayfarers, journeying towards the Fatherland."
