The Bishop of Charlotte announced that beginning next month, altar rails, kneelers, prie-dieus, and intinction will not be permitted for reception of the Eucharist in the diocese. While affirming that standing is the normative posture in the U.S., Bishop Martin acknowledged that Catholics retain the right to receive kneeling and may not be denied Communion for doing so, urging the faithful to consider the value of a common posture as a sign of communal unity.
Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, has banned the public use of kneelers for receiving Communion with effect from 16 January 2026. In a letter published on CharlotteDiocese.org on 17 December, he writes that using them is 'a visible contradiction to the normative posture of Holy Communion established by our episcopal conference'. The text begins with pious or banal quotations. He then admits that it is the right of the faithful to kneel when receiving Holy Communion. But: "The normative posture for all the faithful in the United States is standing." "Faithful individuals who feel compelled to kneel to receive the Eucharist, as is their right, should prayerfully consider the communal blessing that is realised when we share a common posture." Monsignor Martin refers to the norms of the US bishops' conference which "logically" do not envisage the use of kneelers or receiving communion. The three main points of the letter are: 1. Clergy, catechists, ministers of Holy Communion …More
Why is that woman, standing in what should be the Sanctuary, wearing a fake bishop's mitre and a very short skirt? The Blessed Mother said fashions would be introduced which would be very offensive to God.
“Grown under the mentorship of Cardinal Cupich”: At the first press conference, Archbishop Ronald Hicks of New York, said he comes from Chicago where he “was formed under the care of Cardinal Bernardin, the witness of Cardinal George, and the mentorship of Cardinal Cupich.” He added that he grew up 14 blocks from Pope Leo XIV. Furthermore, he switched to Spanish and said he loves the Latino culture. Finally, he said a lot of people are trying to "figure out" who he is and claimed: "I love Jesus, with my mind, heart and soul".
At his first press conference (look at the facial expressions from Dolan), the new Archbishop of New York, Ronald Hicks, said he grew up 14 blocks from Pope Leo and told Cardinal Pierre, when called about the appointment, that he wanted to “do the will of God” with “great humility” and an “open heart.” He said he comes from Chicago, having served under Cardinal Bernardin, been a witness to Cardinal George, and mentored by Cardinal Cupich. Offering his “first controversial statement,” Hicks said he is a Cubs fan and will remain one. He pledged to learn the issues facing the archdiocese, including funds set aside to resolve sexual abuse claims, stressing that the Church must never stop working to prevent abuse, protect children, and care for survivors. Switching to Spanish, he expressed his love for Latino culture. Addressing those trying to “figure out” who he is, he said: “I love Jesus, with my mind, heart, and soul,” calling it his mission statement.
He'll always be a Cubs fan. He loves deep-dish pizza. And his first order of business will be massive compensation to a small army of survivors of clerical sex abuse. Isn’t that exciting?! Welcome to the Springtime of Vatican II! But, hey, he’s gonna try to follow the New York ball clubs, too. . . so, there’s hope.
A retired New York bishop has filed for personal bankruptcy protection in federal court after a state jury verdict found him, along with other officials, personally liable for the collapse of a Catholic hospital pension fund that left about 1,100 retirees without the lifetime monthly payments they were expecting.
He was linked to a controversy this year when he reportedly privately defended a Catholic MP after the MP was banned from receiving Communion by his priest for voting in favour of assisted suicide.
Because of the new religious law in Canada I can't post 'On the Incarnation' by Saint Athanasius. I will try to be just like Saint Hildegard said: 'A feather on the breath of God.' The Saint said this is the way to survive the persecutions including deception of the Antichrist. Besides, I am about to publish in a couple of weeks some scientific papers which will stir up the scientific community and cause a lot of controversy - first Math/Physics 'proof' of supreme order among the universal constants indicating an Infinite Mind of the Holy Trinity behind the Creation, showing up only if using my transcendental equations and simple approach. I will also publish this series here, on GloriaTV. Anyway, here is the article about Mary's Intercessions. "11. A devout servant of Mary, who lived in Portugal, fasted on bread and water every Saturday of his life, in honor of Mary, and chose for his advocates with the blessed Virgin, St. Michael and St. John the Evangelist. At the hour of his death the queen of heaven appeared to him, with those saints, who were praying for him, and the holy Virgin, looking upon her servant with a joyful countenance, said to those saints: "I will not depart from here without taking this soul with me."

12/19/2025 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. In Scotland, prosecutors are investigating suspected cases of negligent homicide by companies (negligent homicide due to organizational failure by the government) in connection with its COVID-19 policies. The investigation is focusing on decisions such as the transfer of COVID-19 patients to care homes, the implementation of protective measures, and the reporting systems for deaths and their compliance. After two years and nine months of investigation, detectives have concluded there is enough evidence to support a complaint of corporate homicide against the Scottish Government. Quote from an article in the Scottish Daily Express on Monday: Nicola Sturgeon ‘Covid corporate homicide’ file passed to Crown Office prosecutors. What if I told you that you are the “carbon footprint” they want to reduce? As well as corporate homicide, police have considered the use of Do Not Attempt CPR (DNA-CPR) notices; the hospital discharge process; the RIDDOR …

"For centuries, the visions of Saint Hildegard of Bingen have been studied by historians, theologians, and scholars of medieval spirituality. In this video, we explore what Saint Hildegard actually wrote in her works, including Scivias, and how her symbolic language has been interpreted over time. Rather than making predictions about specific events, Hildegard described moral, spiritual, and social patterns that she believed shaped human history. Her imagery — including ideas about balance, decline, renewal, and human responsibility — has often been revisited in different historical periods. Some readers find her warnings timeless, while others see them as reflections of the medieval world in which she lived." Kind of long YT Video >>> youtube.com/watch?v=3sZzLfqF8N0
Dec 19 Third Week of Advent, Friday We continue posting daily Advent reflections by the Church Fathers. It's a good way to prepare to celebrate Christmas. The reflections and quotations come from the book titled, Advent and Christmas with the Church Fathers by Marco Pappalardo. Introduction In the age of GPS navigators, let’s keep in mind who is guiding our lives, where our actions are directed, and which roads we need to take to reach our final goal. No technology can replace our conscience, but there are many ways to disorient and distract it. Dec 18 Shame on Canada for voting NO to removing SOGI from a UN resolution Shame on Canada for voting NO to removing SOGI, sexual orientation and gender identity, from a UN General Assembly resolution. The recent vote was 81 to 77 in support of its removal. Of course the vote was taken under the deceptive language of rights of the disabled. How could anyone vote NO? Canada once again betrayed Canadians. Surely, this positive outcome was made …
Schrödinger’s RUSSIA: Too Weak to Beat UKRAINE but Strong Enough to Invade BRITAIN? youtube.com/watch?v=wB2CVlT0IfU We’re being told two completely incompatible things at the same time. On one hand, Russia is supposedly losing in Ukraine — unable to break through, burning men and equipment, struggling to sustain momentum. On the other hand, we’re now told that this very same Russia represents an imminent threat to Britain and Europe — strong enough to invade, overwhelm NATO, and force us onto a war footing. Both cannot be true. This video examines what I call Schrödinger’s Russia: a narrative in which Russia is simultaneously too weak to defeat Ukraine, yet powerful enough to threaten Britain itself. So what’s really going on? Is this genuine threat assessment — or political theatre? Is Europe preparing for a war it truly expects… or managing public psychology after decades of strategic complacency? And why does the language suddenly sound so urgent, so dramatic, so performative?…More
Archbishop-Designate Hicks: “I was really formed by the Latino Church and I have a great heart for the Latino community. This community is a vital part of the Church…I’m proud of the statement the USCCB recently put out about immigration and about the necessity to make sure that we have a country that does protect our borders… and also be a country that upholds human dignity.”
