New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan believes that Pope Francis was aiming to clarify the Our Father not to alter it. For him changing the words of the Our Father would be a sin and he’s sure Pope Francis agrees.
Francis has suggested the false translation “do not let us fall into temptation” as an alternative to “lead us not into temptation.”

If he WISHES to amend it - why not alter it to be literally faithful to the Greek version of the Lords Prayer written in St Matthews Gospel?
"Give us this day our Super-substantial Bread."
This would agree with the Vulgate - and clarifies the importance of receiving Our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist.

Great post, @CarolineA03! Thank you! The CS Lewis imagery is big with Catholics around my area. At the same time, I think a lot of them would not want to agree with you, and would also have a hard time defending themselves against your analysis. What was the response on the woman's blog!? ☕

To all of you knowledgeable about Narnia you will no doubt know what she means.

A lot of CS Lewis's novels contain a depiction of Christ under his title "The Lion of Judah" He is called "Aslan" the Son of the Emperor over the Sea, in the Books. So apparent is it to any who truly KNOW Christ that these were blessed writings that the persona of Aslan (according to Lewis himself) acts as a conversion tool to Christ - mainly those who take time to READ the books rather than just watch the films which don't do it justice.

It is clear that we are now living through the days of "The Last Battle" . An Ape, called Shift takes upon himself the role of a sort of Pope - and creates a false "Aslan" becoming his Mouthpiece. All of fooled apart from those who know and trust in the real Aslan.

The entire hoax is played on the hapless Narnians so that the Ape can sell Narnia over to the Calormenes who are infidels who worship the demon god Tash.

This is a quote from the Last Battle.

"Please," said the Lamb, (to Shift) "I can't understand. What have we to do with the Calormenes? We belong to Aslan. They belong to Tash. They have a god called Tash. They say he has four arms and the head of a vulture. They kill Men on his altar. I don't believe there's any such person as Tash. But if there was, how could Aslan be friends with him?"

All the animals cocked their heads sideways and all their bright eyes flashed towards the Ape. They knew it was the best question anyone had asked yet.

The Ape jumped up and spat at the Lamb. "Baby!" he hissed. "Silly little bleater! Go home to your mother and drink milk. What do you understand of such things? But the others, listen. Tash is only another name for Aslan. All that old idea of us being right and the Calormenes wrong is silly. We know better now. The Calormenes use different words but we all mean the same thing. Tash and Aslan are only two different names for you know Who. That's why there can never be any quarrel between them. Get that into your heads, you stupid brutes. Tash is Aslan: Aslan is Tash."

From that point on, Aslan and Tash are merged and called "Tashlan" in a similar way that is attempted today in reality.

We are seeing the Pope, supposed to be the mouthpiece of Christ deliberately creating (like Shift in Narnia) a false depiction of Christ. What Christ calls Sin is now being adjusted

The true Narnians who adored the real Aslan remained unconvinced.
We are in a similar situation

PS The previous Book - The Silver Chair speaks of a diabolical underground movement all set to take over the world - it's methods are witchcraft and sorcery. They call Aslan a "Fairy Tale" for children to believe in.
