Permanent Revolution: Francis Prolongs Diaster Synod

Francis announced at the Angelus on Sunday that his Synod on Synodality will be held in two sessions, the first in October 2023, the second in October 2024.

This announcement delays the final session for another year. Francis explained that he wanted "more time" to find a "way forward" and "not to be in a hurry".

During the hearing phase, the problem was not "haste" but weak participation. Originally, the Synod was to take place now, in October 2022.

Even APNews.com, an oligarch site, has noted that participation has been low in many countries so far and that many "opponents of Francis" have “scoffed at the whole initiative".

Catholics dont want a washed down easy anything goes doctrine and catholic church we want the True Traditional Church from our Lord Jesus even though its not easy, but that is the way it should be ,we need the God,s commandments to make us better people to gain salvation

Francis is extending it because he isn't getting what he wants. There's so much growing opposition to it, even in Italy, that he is getting angry. Extending it is like his little temper-tantrum.....He'll wait till he gets what he wants, which I hope is never.

Basically the synod is in disarray. Virtually no responses. Bishops don't like it. Francis and the Synod's apparatchiks trying to buy themselves more time.

Synod.va on Twitter: No longer will Synod_va conclude in Oct 2023 but Oct 2024: in order to overcome resistance (“promote the understanding of synodality”), let novelties settle in (fruits “come to full maturity”) & assimilate polarizations (a journey of “brothers and sisters”).

In the end, they are not going to get what they want. The "Synodal" way will be dead, as will Francis. We'll have a new, orthodox Pope who will be young enough to start cleaning up the wreckage of Francis' disaster of a pontificate...and he'll …More

In the end, they are not going to get what they want. The "Synodal" way will be dead, as will Francis. We'll have a new, orthodox Pope who will be young enough to start cleaning up the wreckage of Francis' disaster of a pontificate...and he'll start appointing good, conservative men almost from day one of his pontificate. People like Cupich will either be dead, or quickly retired./removed.
