“The best term to describe the current state of the Church is confusion" which often borders "on error,” Cardinal Burke writes on LaNuovaBq.it (February 15).
He notices a denial of the truth, the pretence of “not knowing” it, and the failure to proclaim it. Burke implicitly criticises statements of Francis like the claim that all men are children of God and that Catholics should relate to persons of other religions and of no religion as children of God, "This is a fundamental lie and font of the most serious confusion.”
All men are created by God but they can only become children of God in Christ through Faith and Baptism, Burke explains.
He disclaimed the allegation that "God wills a plurality of religions” because God has sent Christ as the only Saviour, and that the other religions are "false."
Those who hold to the truth are “labelled as rigid,” and depicted “by the authors of the culture of lies and confusion as poor and deficient, sick persons in need of a cure,” Burke analyses. …More

pgmgn - what a blether you are. HE Card Burke is a prince among thorns. Pope Francis is an embarrasment, get a grip! Or are you a clergyman by any chance?
Sorry, but I'm not about to replace one embarrassment with another. If Burke is traditional, then let him be consistently so. He is not. That you cannot see that tells me that you are living on the surface, enthralled by outward trappings, and unworthy of comment on this subject.

Burke should focus on his own lying FIRST and skirting what he knows to be true and untrue. Burke should focus on his own lying FIRST and skirting what he knows to be true and untrue. Like when he attempts to create schism where there is none, declare where he has zero authority, and subsequently blackball faithful Catholics whose only crime is being more direct in calling out ERRORS/OMISSIONS. (Maybe a bold example will fly further than anymore nuanced BS, Your Excellency. You can't be a leader if you refuse to lead, and not from behind.)

Would that Burke would analyze how he aids and abets confusion by playing the same game he plays with others. For those who would fancy themselves as the point men of tradition are forever tripped up by their own egos and failed tactics to muddy the waters of actual tradition.

pgmgn, yes you are correct. Burke is a fraud and a game player. One example, for many years he had a priest working for him when he was in charge of the Signatura. This priest, Msgr. Joseph Punderson, had committed the usual priestly crimes. He was from, I believe the Diocese of Trenton. Burke covered for him for many years.
