The Archbishop of San Francisco, Monsignor Salvatore Cordileone, supports the two letters for the Mass in the Roman Rite from intellectuals in Britain (3 July) and the Americas (15 July).
Speaking to PillarCatholic.com, Cordileone rejects the "stereotype" that "lovers of the Latin Mass are rigid and backward". His argument is that there are "so many great creatives" among them.
"Rather than rigid, some of the most creative Catholic minds are those drawn to the Latin Mass."
Archbishop Cordileone recalls that Francis has called for a listening Church: "These petition signers speak to Pope Francis with great humility and in a spirit of obedience, and with the kind of confidence that children have when they go to a loving father, in order to speak of their spiritual needs."
Monsignor Cordileone sees the Roman Rite as an instrument of evangelisation: "The traditional Latin Mass is a tool that works for some people; not the only one, but it works for some."

Certainly. This is because these two liturgies belong to two different religions, which differ from each other in their ecclesiology, sacramentology, theology, etc. These are two different worlds.

And here he is revealing his true intentions (keeping the sheep corralled within the conciliar reeducation camps):

Of course, Francis and his accomplices will not be able to tolerate the presence of foreign elements in the depths of their false religion, i.e. the presence of the authentic Catholic Faith and the Liturgy that expresses it.

He’s simply cajoling and complimenting the lemmings on their “obedience” to the conciliar hierarchy, and declaring that if their good behavior continues, there may be hope of benefits in return. When a wolf puts on sheep’s clothing, this is what it looks like. Or am I to be stupid enough to believe that men committed to the false council are willing to permit the seeds of revolt within their dioceses? Such centers are only reeducation camps designed to keep conservatives from becoming trads.
