[3] All things therefore whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do: but according to their works do ye not; for they say, and do not. [Matthew 23:2]
The Popes are since the New Covenant -the authorised people (Matthew 16) who are seated upon the Chair of Moses. However, we are called to adhere to sound Doctrine. As The Papacy must submit to all previous Popes - if any Pope preaches error - we smell a rat, and submit o those who taught before Him. the Sacred Depost of Faith - given to us via the Holy Spirit eternal Teachings of the Church. - ie The Sacred Deposit of Faith laid down by all previous Popes in their Authority as successors of Moses. They sit on the seat of Moses - and must uphold the Law.
You state that we should discern the spirits for ourselves? Yet your "Holy Ghost" preaches something that is not true.
Read Genesis 3 and stop being led astray! We are ALL under the Law, - The governance of the Holy Ghost who spoke eternally through The Law, and since Christ through His Sacred Magesterium. The great Saints submitted to the Church before it like Eve, fell in their pride. We are called to judge what is TRUE by the authority of what the Spirit proclaimed to the Church - so don't bother me with unsound Doctine, unlike Eve, I don't want to waste time judging for myself what is and what is not the Holy Ghost - it's perilous to be a free-lance interpreter of what the Holy Spirit is saying. If I know Church teaching sufficiently - God warns me that what I am hearing is not the Truth.

If you hear the Holy Spirit you will listen twice anyways. So draw your conclusion and then discard based on what the Holy Spirit says. Or who knows accept. And while to me it seems you just discarded because you did not hear the Spirit, I love that you placed your comment here to warn others. By any means you can't fool anybody who can hear the Spirit, because they can hear, and are not blind. All others who are blind for the Spirit have just one option and that is listen to others and use clear reasoning. Let's hope that that other is not blind, because the pit is patient.

Also - don't accept that he calls himself simply "Jesus" The TRUE Christ is professed by attendant angels as being "The Most High Lord Jesus Christ." "The Unique only begotten Son of the Eternal Triune Godhead.." invite it to confirm that he is the same Jesus who died on the Cross for your salvation. You might find it beneficial - if he says "yes" - to request that he go ahead immediately and die again by crucifixion once again, in order to gain your Trust. If He is the REAL Christ (as the Saint's confirm) He will be willing and eager to die an even more horrible death once more just to protect you and save your immortal soul - I suspect the person who gave you that message will NOT be willing to suffer such a horrible death, and is likely to disappear for good once it is suggested that he go through spiritual pain so that you might believe.

Dear Cardinal: After Vatican II, the true mass was changed by those who hated the Catholic Church and they created the Novus Ordo so called mass. Until the Church condemns the Novus Ordo "mass" and go back to the true mass, the insanity will continue.
