Well, at least he's finally clearly extinguished all remaining hope that he could possibly be anything but Francis's compliant ghost. Their South American "ProtestoCatholicism" really is extradinarily arrogant in thinking itself so uniquely able to discern God's heart and will that any other culture's way of embracing Catholicism--past or present--was all a big mistake offensive to God that must be beaten and burned to extinction, and the ashes buried in case so much as a single ember remains to reignite any memory of it. How narrow minded, short-sighted, brutish, bigoted and cruel, and also how profoundly stupid to think that such narrownes will result in anything but the near destruction of God's lovingly two-thousand-year curation of His Church.

Leo XIV wants to "build the communion of Christ in a synodal Church". Then, why doesn't he abdicate and join the synodal Protestants?

By rigid, Leo means things that are really Catholic.

Leo XIV today on Francis: "His prophetic voice, pastoral style and rich magisterium have marked the Church’s journey in recent years, encouraging us above all to place God’s mercy at the center, to give renewed impetus to evangelization, and to be a joyful Church, welcoming to all and attentive to the poorest"

At least the Papal Throne he used for this Audience looks decent. It’s not that insipid tasteless Ivory colored chair he uses all the time that looks like it was pulled out from a third-rate motel……small mercies.

Recall that his predecessor Francis was infamous for dressing down the curia at Christmas time - a time where most normal folks try to get along with others and "bury the hatchet". Did he also warn against the lukewarm? Or at least against lukewarmness?

As Monsignor Lefebvre said: "This false church is in an ever-deeper state of rupture with the Catholic Church" (December 4, 1990).

When is he going to do what the BVM asked ? Why are they rigidly opposing heaven? Our Lady of Fatima pray for us!
