Modernist Newark Cardinal Joseph Tobin has complained that regarding Amoris Laetitia, “our people are victims of blogs and disinformation”.
Talking to Servizio Informazione Religiosa (December 13) he added, “When I was in Rome I was told that 85% of all world news on the Exhortation comes from the United States where only 6% of the overall population are Catholic, and many of these news items are useless to formation, in fact only few are at the service of the Magisterium.”
It can be assumed that Tobin had Catholic blogs and outlets in mind which refuse to accept the heresies contained in Amoris Laetitia as expression of the Catholic Magisterium.

His figure of 6% seems very low to me. I am also thinking Cardinal Tobin should consider shifting his concern from whether news of the Exortation is at the service of the Magisterium to whether the Exortation itself is at the service of the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church. I will also add I am much more affirmed by, for instance, what Fr. Tom Weinandy has to say about "our people" compared …More
