Leo XIV: "Differences of Creed Need Not Divide us" - "People of Different Faith Pray Together"
The message is full of the usual buzzwords: "companions in interreligious dialogue," "we share responsibility to nurture harmony," or "we are all God’s children".
He described it as an inspiring example of interreligious friendship and unity "when people of different faiths join in prayer" [to whom?].
Leo XIV asserts that "differences of creed or background need not divide us".
This is against logic and the Gospel. Christ said:
- "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division." (Luke 12)
- "I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother... and a man’s enemies will be those of his own household" (Matthew 10).
- "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14)
