The "Good Catholic" Celebrates Diwali

US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill celebrated Diwali standing at a pagan altar at the White House on November 4.

They wrote that it was “our honour to be the first president and first lady to light a diya [lamp] together in the White House to celebrate Diwali.”

Diwali is a Hindu festival of "light overcoming the darkness." It is observed by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and Buddhists and is celebrated at a new moon which symbolises the Dark triumphing over the light.

Deacon Nick Donelly commented on Twitter, that Biden celebrating a pagan ritual “must be another reason why – (pope) Bergoglio called him a good Catholic.” Diwali is also observed by conformist Novus Ordo prelates.
