US Bishop Furious On Latin.
Bishop Stika obviously never heard of Pope John XXIII's apostolic constitution on the use of Latin in the Church "Veterum Sapientia".

Yet another member of the "Cultural Marxists in Polyester Vestments" crowd based on his ill-informed bloviating methinks. Sure, Latin was on one level the "language of the empire which tried to destroy the (early) Church" however it was also USED by said members of that Church for communication within the bounds of the Western (and parts of the Eastern) Roman Empire. Over time, given its position as both a Lingua Franca and a benchmark of literacy and scholarship, it is no wonder it became the language of communication and liturgy in the Western Church. Latin's place within the history of the Church might be termed "ironic" but to say it is somehow illegitimate.........flagrantly ignores a reality that the average Catholic school, and possibly even public school, student knew at a young age not so long ago. Now the supposed prelates of the Church are so imbued with the current rage for attacking anything European or Western - and the linguistic legacy of Greece and Rome certainly fits here - that they can ignore Catholic History 101 - we have sunk low indeed. What language, I wonder, does Bishop Stika think the vast numbers of Latin American Catholics speak and from which language did it, in turn, descend? What about just about every language of Europe except perhaps for Finnish, Estonian, and Rhaetic? All languages spoken by historical Catholic populations since the early Middle Ages? Even the aforementioned non-Indo-European linguistic outliers had Latin loan-words over time too. A sad indictment of the kind of person running affairs in the here-and-now.

This, coming from a modernist, is not surprising! He needs to be re-educated or if not possible, defrocked!

What a foolish pompous little pointy hatted man in dress up. Waste of space.

A Catholic bishop who says 'Churches' is no Catholic bishop for there is only one Church.
De Profundis
This Bishop that got "hacked" has all the same typos, bad grammar and punctuation that the "hacker" did.

Perhaps "your Eminence" you should recall that during the times of the early Church Latin was the only communicable language across the borders of the Roman occupation. It was obviously the language to be used by the early Church which was expanding.
If only the Church had kept that tradition today, we would not have had weeks of misunderstanding when we moved from England to Spain.

The Universal Church needs a Universal Language . What happened to it?

Didn't you ask for Ordination in the "Roman Catholic Church?" Of course you did. So why this cheap infamous shot at pretending you are not beholden to the language rite of the Church you entered? Didn't you ask for Ordination in the "Roman Catholic Church?" Of course you did. So why this cheap infamous shot at pretending you are not beholden to the language rite of the Church you entered? Unless (as we suspect) you chose to enter the RC Church, falsifying your allegiance to her in order to tear up Her Sacred Magesterium and eradicate Her Traditions one by one. Many Mystics have mentioned you would join the Latin Rite with these ignoble motives Heaven knew you were coming.

As you no doubt realise, the handed down language of the Roman Catholic Church remains lawfully "Latin" so you have to lump it or get a new religious group to affiliate yourself with. For every Roman Rite Catholic, is forced lawfully to remain in strict obedience to what former Popes have handed down to them. Christ will hold you to their pronouncements - as not one" jot "of His laws will He permit you to change. When you seek to go above the Law (watch Fr Hesse, Canon Lawyer on Youtube) all that is the result is that you falsify a new Schismatic Protestant group, or a False sect within the boundaries of His Church. (The Latin one!)

It is strange that some of these modern infiltrators of the Priesthood seek to remove the Latin Language from the Church they joined!! Ask any SUCCESSFUL Exorcist, he will tell you that the language that adequately drives out Satan is Latin. Consequently Satan fears it! - It is HE who hates it, it is HE whom hopes to eradicate it. Our Lord approves of those who abide by the Sacred Traditions

Check the label in the back of your cheap polyester none-Roman rite affiliated, casual - I'm not suitably attired to attend the Wedding Banquest - style vestments

It says you are called "Jūdas"

He's no 'good' bishop...

Latin is the official language of Holy Church. Maybe that's why he hates it.

I have read that the upcoming synod needs to be stopped now! I have also read that Princes faithful to the Church have suggested instead a synod to address the poor formation of Bishops. Considering the above declaration by Bishop Rick Stika, the suggestion is easily justified and should be heeded.

An idiot like that knows nothing of the Church. I do not want to picture how he earned his position.

The Devil hates Latin also.

Ricky Stickit is a typical empty headed prelate (most likely a dimocrat as are too many clerics) with way too much time on his hands so he wastes it on Social Media.

Mr Trump is so petty. Did not praise the heroic life of Sen. McCain and only allowed the flag at the White House to fly at half mast for one day! Many others have been until the funerals. I can’t support this man. Pence will make a better statement.

McCain's "Heroic life"....my a$$ foot!

The “McCain Funeral” was the only way the Trump haters could “rally” more than 50 people in one place to bash the President. It wasn’t about “McCain’s life”, it was about what Trump *supposedly* did to “McCain’s life”. In other words, the funeral was a farce and his family should be ashamed to have put on such an obvious political spectacle. McCain was a huge liability to conservatism and to America. The country is now a better nation with him gone. De mortuis nihil nisi bonum. Praise the Lord.

Some years ago the Rector magnificus of an Austrian Technical University stated that he prefers students with an "Abitur" in Latin and Classical Greek than those who have an Abitur from a technical high school like BULME or HTL. His explanations were the students learned the structures of a language like 3D-Chess.
