Fr Tommy Scholtes, spokesman for the Belgium’s bishops conference, denied that a proposal to "bless" homosexual concubinages "amounted to a blessing."
Scholtes fooled his audience by saying that the bishops only want to create a “point of contacts” for homosexuals including “an opportunity for homosexual couples to pray together, and for others to pray for them” (ApNews.com, September 20).
“But there is no blessing, no exchange of consent, there is nothing like a marriage,” Scholtes said.
In reality, the proposed text specifically asks “God” to “bless” a homosex liaison. In Flemish, “om God te vragen dat Hij dit engagement van liefde en trouw mag zegenen en bestendigen.”
The text clearly contains a blessing ceremony which contradicts the Bible, the Faith, reason, and real life.
Even homosexuals admit that - unlike in marriage where fidelity is fundamental - their lifestyle has little to do with “fidelity” but is about sexual promiscuity.

Not a blessing, about accompaniment, not doctrinal.
Not a joke. I called the archdiocese of Brussels, got re-directed to him.
