There is a “Silent space available for Muslim prayer” in Paris’ Saint-Sulpice Church (photo) which is only slightly smaller than Notre Dame.
By virtue of Francis legalism, the celebration of the Roman Rite is strictly forbidden in Saint Sulpice. But almost any non-Catholic group is allowed to perform in the building. This is called “ecumenism” and “inter-religious dialogue.”
In March 2019, the church suffered an arson attack whose perpetrators were never found. The Marquis de Sade after whom “sadism” is named, was baptised in Saint-Sulpice in 1740.
