Charleston Bishop Robert Guglielmone, 75,9, South Caroline, whom Francis would have sent in pension if he were a Catholic, issued a November 12 decree against the Roman Rite in slavish compliance with Francis' Traditionis Custodes.
From now on, he permits a “singular” Sunday Roman Mass in four parishes and only for those notified priests who have been celebrating Mass before TC.
On weekdays, Mass may be celebrated only if a Novus Ordo Eucharist is presided the same day. Like in Rome, Guglielmone bans the Easter Triduum, Christmas Midnight Mass, Confirmation and Extreme Unction in the Roman Rite.
Marriages may be celebrated only with the bishop's permission and funerals only if the deceased has requested it while he was still alive.
