Malta: Did Francis Attack Putin or Biden?

On the plane to Malta, Francis was asked (April 2) whether he was considering a visit to Kiev. He replied: “Yes, it’s on the table” - although Kiev is officially under bombs.

During the trip, Francis struggled to walk, showed difficulties with his knee when entering a car, and used a lift for entering and leaving the plane.

Talking to politicians, Francis warned of an "enlarged Cold War" which threatens "entire peoples and generations" saying that "the enthusiasm for peace, which emerged after the Second World War, has faded in these recent decades."

Then he attacked either Vladimir Putin or Joseph Biden by saying that "once again some power person sadly caught up in anachronistic claims of Nationalist interests is provoking and fomenting conflicts, whereas ordinary people sense the need to build the future.”
