Argentina's President Javier Milei, 53, and Francis, 87, met for the first time on 11 February.
After the Eucharist for the canonisation of Mama Antula, Argentina's first saint, Francis stopped in his wheelchair in St Peter's Basilica to say a few words and receive a big hug from Milei.
The Vatican added that Milei and Francis had already met shortly before the Eucharist. The official audience will take place on Monday.
During the election campaign, Milei called Francis an "imbecile", a "representative of the devil on earth" and a promoter of communism.
St Peter's was far from being filled with pilgrims.

No…Miles is NOT a globalist, quite the reverse…and he’s made many scathing remarks against globalism.

Seems a rather warm encounter.

This is highly probable, because this first audience of the new head of the anti-Church took place on the 11th anniversary of the announcement of the …More

Is Milei taking on the role of the Antichrist?! This is highly probable, because this first audience of the new head of the anti-Church took place on the 11th anniversary of the announcement of the abdication by Benedict XVI, the last Roman pontifex, on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (February 11, 2013).
