Today, Francis appointed Archbishop Giacomo Morandi, 56, as Reggio Emilia-Guastalla Bishop, Italy.
Morandi entered the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith as under secretary in 2015 and became the secretary (second man) in 2017. A replacement has not been announced.
MessaInLatino.it informed that Francis punished Morandi for his cautious opposition against homosex "blessings" and the Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes.
Morandi was appreciated - or hated - for his balance in managing difficult and delicate cases.

What you should do, and all faithful Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals in the Vatican service, is to show Francis that you are not afraid. Only because people do not say "NO!". Instead, Catholics have been conditioned to automatically say "Yes Holy Father, No Holy Father, Whatever you say is right is RIGHT Holy Father. I'm a history teacher, and in all history regarding religion, CAtholicism is the only religion (since Vatican II) which has willingly allowed itself to be destroyed from within by the dictates of a Pope and his associates. I know that Muslims would never allow for their religion and traditions to be destroyed. Neither would the Greek or Russian Orthodox.

Injustices like this always tend to boomerang on the person who commits the injustice. Soon heretic Pope Francis will be dead, his supporters fired from their positions by the new Pope, and this good man, who tried to express his reservations over what is obviously evil in the VAtican, may one day soon be wearing the red hat of a cardinal, rescued from oblivion and given an important posting by the new Pope. That's how these things work sometimes. The one unjustly punished in a short time comes out the victor, while the one who did the crime is destroyed. Pray for this good man, and many others Francis the heretic and his thugs have persecuted, because they might be back in positions of honor soon as well, and Francis' squad dispersed and humiliated and discredited.

An example of what I meant above is the Becciu/Pell scandal regarding Vatican finances. Becciu was desperate to be the next pope....he even admitted it. Before that, he tried to ruin Pell with false accusations which Pell had to go to trial and was detained in prison for something he was innocent of. When all that came out, Becciu was stripped of the rights and voting right of cardinal. Now he isn't …More

When all that came out, Becciu was stripped of the rights and voting right of cardinal. Now he isn't considered a member of the Sacred College. His papal dreams went up in smoke. Just like Pope Francis dreams of destroying the LAtin Mass and CAtholic tradition will. He will soon be dead, and the Latin Mass stronger and with more faithful than ever.
