Cardinal Peter Turkson, 73, the Prefect of the Dicastery for the service of integral human development, has resigned together with the other heads of the dicastery, MessaInLatino.it (December 16) writes.
The dicastery was created in 2016 by Francis. Turkson will remain in office until December 31.
MessaInLatino.it doesn’t know the reason for this drastic decision. Turkson was a faithful executor of Francis’ whims.

Francis loyalist Cardinal Turkson, placed in charge of the Super-Dicastery of human development created by Francis, fired in surprising move - he must leave by Dec. 31.

Fired or resigned? Big difference.
Turkson seems a dull, reliable loyalist which earns him no thanks. Perhaps Turkson erred in not allowing one of Bergie's girls to steal development money, given how the real estate and banking is busted. We will get a partial explanation at best, or none at all.

All who serve in the Vatican do so at the pleasure of the Supreme Pontiff, who has full, immediate and explicit power to make changes at any and all times in accordance with his own will, desire and purpose. It’s what Popes - all Popes - do, and have done for centuries now. Can’t we all just calm down and enjoy this wonderful Advent Season and rejoice in the birth of our Lord? Without projecting some nefarious machinations falsely upon our Holy Father? Can we not, for just one minute, cease this madness, at least for Christmas?

@U S Spacy Don't feel TOO guilty! I doubt if the Holy Virgin and her Divine Son will be feeling much "Joy" during these evil times either.

It's a scandal only if wrong-doing is disclosed. Right now it's an enigma as even the source cited doesn't know.
