Forse al cardinale Mauro Gambetti e a padre Enzo Fortunato sfugge qualche cosa, in primis che tra il 1950 ed oggi ci sono stati altri Giubilei, quello del 1975, del 1983, del 2000 e del 2015... magari riportare anche quei dati...e poi fare un paragone tra il Giubileo del 1950 e quello ormai alle porte è un pò esagerato, nel 1950 si era appena usciti dalla seconda guerra mondiale, la situazione economica globale era diversa e anche la possibilità di spostarsi e viaggiare non è quella di oggi... volendo si poteva fare un paragone con il Giubileo del 1925 o quelli ancora precedenti, la differenza sarebbe stata ancora più stostanziale...se questo serve per farsi belli agli occhi di qualcuno...

That may be wishful thinking, depending on the state of the world next year. Also, Rome gets upwards of 10 million foreign tourists each year, which has doubled in past holy years. I wonder if that will hold true. I would imagine that the difference would then count a significant number of Italian pilgrims? And, have they decided to limit the Holy Doors to the major Roman basilicas in order to …More

"Portate via queste cose e non fate della casa del Padre mio un luogo di mercato". I discepoli si ricordarono che sta scritto: "Lo zelo per la tua casa mi divora" (Gv 2 16-17).
Ora cosa direbbe Gesù ai Capi religiosi della Chiesa, che hanno fatto del tempio un luogo per guadagnare, e non un luogo di preghiera, ma per intrattenersi, guardando l'arte?

Aspettano i molti pellegrini che arrivino in Vaticano. Speriamo non creino attrazioni da Circo. La Chiesa e i luoghi attigui alla Chiesa del Vaticano sono spazi sacri e non luoghi per turisti, che guardano opere d'arte. Ma i pastori in molte diocesi hanno istituito il turismo religioso senza alcuna devozione per la Casa di Dio. Si entra nella Casa di Dio solo per vedere le opere d'arte senza …More
Aspettano i molti pellegrini che arrivino in Vaticano. Speriamo non creino attrazioni da Circo. La Chiesa e i luoghi attigui alla Chiesa del Vaticano sono spazi sacri e non luoghi per turisti, che guardano opere d'arte. Ma i pastori in molte diocesi hanno istituito il turismo religioso senza alcuna devozione per la Casa di Dio. Si entra nella Casa di Dio solo per vedere le opere d'arte senza inginocchiarsi e stare in preghiera prima. Tale pastorale risale già dai tempi in cui ero in Collegio. Cosa sperate che escano dai seminari, se non date loro il nutrimento spirituale?
